Fred Hutch Steamplant

The Steamplant project is a 100,000sqft TI to create lab space for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research center. This building was constructed in 1914 and was in operation until the late 1980’s, at which time a substantial structural upgrade was performed to maintain the historic nature of the facility. Zymo-Genetics remodeled the building as a lab building. This project refreshed the lab spaces to the Fred Hutch Facility standards along with the open, collaborative lab environment. Lab space includes immunotherapy, tissue culture labs, and media preparation labs. Prime’s scope on the project included all new LED lighting and digital lighting control, all electrical work, fire alarm, access control and CCTV, tele/data and AV pathway.
