College Internships
Spending your summer with us will give you an invaluable experience that simply isn’t taught in the classroom. We will give you hands-on experience learning industry processes, working on complex job sites and collaborating with multiple trades. You will gain relevant experience, helping you transition into the workforce — and perhaps even our team — when you’re ready to graduate.

PRIME’s Internship Program  
Our internship program is competitive and runs for 10-12 weeks each summer, with opportunities in both our San Jose, CA and Bellevue, WA offices.

The Selection Process
Each Fall, we attend several college career fairs across the country. From these events, we select the top candidates from each school to learn about who we are, what we do, and give them an opportunity to meet more of our team. We use these one-on-one conversations to give both PRIME and each student a chance to ask questions and determine if PRIME is the best fit. After the interview process, we select stand-out students to join us for the summer. 

Experience You’ll Gain
Your internship at PRIME will expose you to the various elements of a successful project:

• Project Management | Hands-on experience in project planning, execution, and closure by assisting project managers and field management. 
• Estimating | Understanding of how the MEP structural and architectural drawings impact the electrical scope. 
• Logistics | Learn how we utilize specific practices to save time, how we minimize waste, and increase installation efficiencies. 
• Virtual Construction Services | Introduction to how VCS increases opportunities for prefab, packaging, integrated builds with other trades, and increases field productivity. 
• Safety | Exposure to PRIME’s organization-wide safety program and learn what “Home Safe, Every Day” means to our team.
