90th Street Bridge

PRIME was awarded the contract to light the City of Redmond’s 90th Street Bridge, as well as the improvements to the east and west 1,500 foot approaches.

The City of Redmond wanted a striking lighting design for this project and PRIME worked closely with Sidney Genette, the lighting designer, in fixture selection and placement. This distinctive design uses filtered accent lighting on the arches, as well as the use of white light for the deck, to emphasize features. The installation was challenging, considering the need to place the fixtures in precise locations while coordinating with the intense structural elements of the bridge. The collaboration of Architecture, Structure, Lighting and Design ensured the prominence of this project.

This project won the 2002 distinguished “Excellence in Construction” Award for the Heavy/Highway/Utility Division.
